About the Author

Tom Elliott is a native of Arlington, Massachusetts, born in 1968.   After graduating with a bachelors degree from Purdue University, he was commissioned as a Naval officer in 1990 where he served aboard submarines and aircraft carriers.

While in the Navy, Tom started a computer business in 1992.   The business was portable as he moved from duty station to duty station, focusing on hardware and network consulting.   In 2000, he shifted from a concentration on hardware to Website design and began
WebDrafter.com, Inc.   After much success and expansion into the Internet environment, Tom became concurrently involved with (and was recognized as the 2002 Certified Internet Trainer of the Year for) a North Carolina based Internet marketing company and was subsequently invited to an Internet Advisory Board position.  
He joined their corporate team in 2003 as the Director of Internet Training and Sales after resigning his commission in the military 13 years into his 20-year career.   Then in 2005, he resigned from
the corporate environment in North Carolina to focus on expanding WebDrafter.com, Inc. on a full-time basis.

In 2005 he earned his Master’s of Science Degree in Information Systems from the Florida Institute of Technology.   His other business affiliations have included serving on the Board of Directors for the Better Business Bureau of Central North Carolina, the Bachelor Degree Program Advisory Board of ECPI School of Technology in Virginia Beach, VA, and Advisory Board of Dad's Club, Inc. a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.   Of note, he has also been the president of the Oak Ridge, NC, Business Network International (BNI) chapter, “Triad Biz-Links.”  

Tom has been the keynote speaker at many corporate and educational events and has traveled internationally as a business success coach, motivational speaker, and Internet consultant.  He has trained in coliseums and arenas, speaking to groups of more than 15,000 people at a time and has provided personalized training to as few as one to three people in a classroom setting.  

A focal point of his instruction has been teaching business owners and decision makers how to apply technology to their companies to increase their efficiency, productivity, and profitability.
